In the 43rdth minute of the game Biagio Vinci who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Córdoba FC's Alvaro Centofanti was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Achille Salemme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Biagio Vinci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Centofanti having to interfere.

A collision led to Córdoba FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Beppe Guadagnoli hit a great ball. Alvaro Centofanti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Vinci in the 60th minute of play. In the 97th minute, Achille Salemme left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villagrazia AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Villagrazia AFC fully deserved thier win.
