Davide Bucci made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio Di Lello in the 14th minute. Fedele Manzoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Davide Bucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Christian Reali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adriano Tieri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Reali in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberigo Serra during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fedele Manzoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Davide Bucci having to interfere. Ferruccio Di Lello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Davide Bucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 42 minutes of play, Real eli's Ferruccio Di Lello made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Davide Bucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the game, Daniele Apolloni was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real eli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sopramonte the free kick. The supporters of Sopramonte booed when Real eli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Apolloni didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Demetrio Cosi made a kick off. Alberigo Serra got his second yellow card in the match during the 51st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Alberigo Serra kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. When Fedele Manzoni came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Real eli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fedele Manzoni couldn't finish the play. 64 minutes into the match, Real eli's Fedele Manzoni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Davide Bucci narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sopramonte's Davide Bucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Manzoni in the 66th minute of play. Ferruccio Di Lello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute Ferruccio Di Lello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davide Bucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Ferruccio Di Lello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th match minute, Sopramonte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Demetrio Cosi to maneuver through the defense. Christian Realis short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Adriano Tieri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Real eli getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Anselmo Petito hit a great ball. After 88 minutes, Armin Della Francesca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sopramonte and the Real eli players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sopramonte's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
