Arturo Nardone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franco Casale, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Enrico Vida got free with Arturo Nardone in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Donato Bozzelli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Emilio Rosini. Càtafório AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Corrado Pugliese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Emilio Rosini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Càtafório AFC's Francesco Salvucci got a free kick in the 23rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Càtafório AFC's zone, Christian Zollino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Rosini came out of the goal and Christian Zollino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 30 played minutes Càtafório AFC got a freekick which was hit by Attilio Di Falco. If Corrado Pugliese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Enrico Vida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Arturo Nardone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emilio Rosini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Zollino in the 38th minute of play. Corrado Pugliese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Christian Zollino made the kick off in the second half. Enrico Vida struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Arturo Nardone didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Càtafório AFC. Franco Casale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Franco Casale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Nardone was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Zollino in the 70th minute of play forced Càtafório AFC's goalkeeper Emilio Rosini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Càtafório AFC's Emilio Rosini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Càtafório AFC from getting a goal against them. Corrado Pugliese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Rosini having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Corrado Pugliese got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christian Zollino received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Emilio Rosini came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Zollino slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 89th minute. Enrico Vida's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arturo Nardone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. Aurelio Ippoliti charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Ippoliti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th match minute, Mossa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Ippoliti to maneuver through the defense. The Mossa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mossa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
