Spectators: 7178 (Terracing: 5494, Seating: 1684, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Christian Marchegiani started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Francesco Cosi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Tedeschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 4 minutes, Fabrizio Ramoser mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rovigo and the Tamara players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fabrizio Ramoser kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Antonio Crosta hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Francesco Bondi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dave Tedeschi having to make a save. Corrado Rinaldi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arrigo Cusumano in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmondo Baggio in the 11th minute of play forced Tamara's goalkeeper Corrado Rinaldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rünno Tõnuri struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Dave Tedeschi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tamara. Corrado Rinaldi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Cusumano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dave Tedeschi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Capasso in the 15th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, Rovigo's Edmondo Baggio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Corrado Rinaldi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Dave Tedeschi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Bondi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ennio Di Monte charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ennio Di Monte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 32 minutes into the game, one of Tamara:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 38th minute Francesco Bondi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Tedeschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dave Tedeschi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rünno Tõnuri in the 41st minute. Corrado Rinaldi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabrizio Ramoser, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Dave Tedeschi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Bondi in the 46th minute of the match. After 47 minutes of play Rovigo's Fabrizio Ramoser was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 48 played minutes Rovigo got a freekick which was hit by Fabrizio Ramoser.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rünno Tõnuri made a kick off. Christian Marchegiani kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rünno Tõnuri in the 59th minute of play forced Rovigo's goalkeeper Dave Tedeschi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Rovigo getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Christian Marchegiani hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Francesco Cosi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dave Tedeschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rovigo's Dave Tedeschi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rünno Tõnuri in the 64th minute of play. Dave Tedeschi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francesco Bondi's shot from short distance in the 66th minute. If Francesco Cosi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francesco Bondi in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dave Tedeschi saved Rovigo from getting behind. Francesco Bondi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 75 played minutes Tamara got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Di Monte. With his leg Corrado Rinaldi managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Rovigo's Comunardo Cusumano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Rovigo's Dave Tedeschi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Capasso in the 78th minute of play. Tamara's Corrado Rinaldi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Primavera in the 79th minute of play. Christian Marchegiani received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Corrado Rinaldi came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Marchegiani slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 81st minute. If Rünno Tõnuri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dave Tedeschi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ercole Capasso in the 90th minute of play. Rünno Tõnuri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
