Dave Tedeschi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio Tomasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After having played for 76 minutes, Domenico Evangelista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Abagnale United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domenico Evangelista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Demetrio Tomasso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Christian Marchegiani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermanno Tondi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rovigo's Fabrizio Ramoser got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After taking down the ball on Rovigo's corner Enzo Castelli fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ermanno Tondi quite easily take care of the ball. Abagnale United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
