Davide Di Mario in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Amerigo Pelusi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Francesco Milani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Speranza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Achille Santone notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ponzano AFC's Francesco Milani. Francesco Milani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anfilogino Polimeno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Federico Speranza struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Francesco Milani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rubens FC. After 24 played minutes Ponzano AFC got a freekick which was hit by Davide Di Mario. Amerigo Pelusi didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Ponzano AFC's Davide Di Mario shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. If Federico Speranza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francesco Milani came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rubens FC's Federico Speranza. But to his dismay, Federico Speranza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Federico Speranza made a kick off. Amerigo Pelusi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Scibilia in the 51st minute of the match. Anfilogino Ascoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Francesco Milani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Davide Di Mario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Edmondo Berardi had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Anfilogino Polimeno fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rubens FC's protests and gave Anfilogino Polimeno a yellow card for diving instead. After 66 minutes, Edoardo Scibilia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ponzano AFC and the Rubens FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edoardo Scibilia hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. When Camillo Penna came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Rubens FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camillo Penna couldn't finish the play. If Achille Santone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Rubens FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Ponzano AFC.
