In the 15th minute, Camillo Savoia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Australian FC's Anfilogino Giocondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciro Colucci in the 16th minute of play. If Cesare Mazzola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 25 minutes into the match, Australian FC's goalkeeper Anfilogino Giocondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ciro Colucci. Dario Tarantini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Attilio Scevola having to make a save. If Cesare Mazzola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Armin Cannata charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Armin Cannata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 31 played minutes Australian FC got a freekick which was hit by Armin Cannata. Albese's Antonio Bracco shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Anfilogino Giocondo but with some difficulty. Attilio Scevola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Tarantini in the 34th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Albese's Aldo Antico seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Aldo Antico the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Albese protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Aldo Antico had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Albese! In the 41st minute there was a penalty for Australian FC. Alfonso Baur stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Attilio Scevola. 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Albese's zone, Damiano Odisio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Attilio Scevola came out of the goal and Damiano Odisio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Piola in the 59th minute of play forced Australian FC's goalkeeper Anfilogino Giocondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes Albese got a freekick which was hit by Anfilogino Barillari. Attilio Scevola made an important save on a dangerous shot by Damiano Odisio in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute of the match Australian FC got a corner. Albese's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alfonso Baur ran over to the corner to take the kick. Anfilogino Giocondo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesare Mazzola in the 67th minute of play. After 73 minutes, Anthony Coletti mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Australian FC and the Albese players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 77th minute, Cesare Mazzola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79th minute, Cesare Mazzola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Albese fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Dario Tarantini might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Attilio Scevola. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dario Tarantini ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Albese getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Fabrizio Meazza hit a great ball. If Fabrizio Meazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th match minute, Australian FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camillo Savoia to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Australian FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cesare Mazzola came free, but Anfilogino Giocondo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cesare Mazzola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albese's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
