Black Bull's Corrado Frezza got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Anfilogino Ursini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amedeo Scarpone hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Black Bull's Davide Bronzi got a free kick in the 38th minute. Black Bull's Concetto De Michele played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ennio Di Renzo in the 39th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corrado Frezza in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cesare Scatena saved Chievo AFC from getting behind. Concetto De Michele made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domenico Piccioli in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ennio Di Renzo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
