After having played for 16 minutes, Armando Damiani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Acilia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Damiani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Acilia's Diego Piretti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amedeo Baresi in the 18th minute of play. Diego Piretti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Baresi in the 20th minute of the match. Armando Damiani might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Zuccarini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Armando Damiani ran back to his position shaking his head. Kim Gubitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Fausto Zuccarini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Ginestreto's goalkeeper Fausto Zuccarini had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florian Lenzi. If Carlo Contestabile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ginestreto's Fausto Zuccarini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Grande in the 38th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ginestreto's zone, Kim Gubitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Zuccarini came out of the goal and Kim Gubitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kim Gubitz might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Zuccarini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kim Gubitz ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Ginestreto's Fausto Zuccarini got control of the ball when Kim Gubitz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Kim Gubitz made the kick off in the second half. Diego Piretti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filippo Cavallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florian Lenzi charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Florian Lenzi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Acilia got a freekick which was hit by Florian Lenzi. In the 59th minute Armando Damiani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Zuccarini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 63 minutes, Bernardo Grande managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fausto Zuccarini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Enrico Cabrini during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd minute of the game, Ermanno Maggi landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
