Spizzichino AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Settequerce the free kick. Cristiano Pala kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Anselmo Bottega could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Cristiano Pierdomenico made a huge save. Ernesto Attili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavio Motta in the 25th minute of the match. When Settequerce's Antonio Mameli in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Spizzichino AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Spizzichino AFC's zone, Antonello Vasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Attili came out of the goal and Antonello Vasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the game, Anselmo Bottega recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cristiano Pierdomenico. Anselmo Bottega showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Bottega in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Pierdomenico saved Settequerce from getting behind. Antonello Vasco hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Motta to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Settequerce's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Corrente came free, but Cristiano Pierdomenico reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Pierdomenico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anselmo Bottega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Attili was a little too slow when Aurelio Martano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 2-2. Filippo De Santis kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Settequerce's Cristiano Pierdomenico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Corrente in the 68th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Bottega in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristiano Pierdomenico prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Settequerce's Flavio Motta got a free kick in the 73rd minute. When Damiano Landolfi came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Spizzichino AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damiano Landolfi couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Napoleón Sánchez during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A throw-in in the 84th minute of the game was made by Ciro Palleschi with Flavio Motta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Antonello Fontanive managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spizzichino AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonello Fontanive was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Pierdomenico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Settequerce's Ernesto Attili threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Flavio Motta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
