Monta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulvio Di Camillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dave Di Paola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulvio Di Camillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Dario Di Nucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Damiani in the 34th minute of the match. Monta's Fulvio Di Camillo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Baratta hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 40 minutes into the game, Comunardo Juliano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Selbagnone's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monta the free kick. In the 40th minute, Comunardo Juliano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 41 minutes, Alberigo Di Monte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The wind increased when Fabrizio Damiani made the kick off in the second half. After 55 minutes of play, Selbagnone's Achille Galante made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dario Di Nucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alberigo Di Monte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 63 played minutes Alberigo Di Monte rounded Selbagnone's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. In the 69th match minute, Monta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernardo Ascoli to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Selbagnone's Dennis Giardino broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 74th minute of the match Amedeo Rapone sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dario Di Nucci skillfully saved the ball. Dave Di Paola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberigo Di Monte's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Bernardo Serafini kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Dennis Giardino, 89 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 92nd minute Achille Galante shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Di Nucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Monta defense, Achille Galante kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dario Di Nucci. The Monta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dario Di Nucci should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Monta eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
