Casteddu's Alfonso Barillari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerzy Hryc in the 20th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Demetrio Chiola fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Alvise Bellomo, passed just outside the right post. 26 minutes in the game, Beppe Scirea fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alvise Bellomo having to interfere. Franco Fortuna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alfonso Barillari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Beppe Scirea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Beppe Scirea in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alvise Bellomo saved milan cyti from getting behind. When Dino Salomone fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored milan cyti's protests and gave Dino Salomone a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st match minute, milan cyti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Salomone to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Beppe Scirea in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvise Bellomo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Alvise Bellomo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beppe Scirea, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Beppe Scirea scored 4-1 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvise Bellomo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Demetrio Chiola scored 7-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvise Bellomo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Casteddu fully deserved thier win.
