Ferdinando De Zorzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ferdinando De Zorzi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Muzzatti having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dave Strano in the 16th minute of play forced Vimercate's goalkeeper Alberigo Balestra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Nazzari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberigo Balestra having to interfere. Dave Strano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alberigo Balestra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Alessandro Di Dio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vimercate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chiaravalle FC the free kick. In the 22nd match minute, Vimercate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Di Dio to maneuver through the defense. Alberigo Balestra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexander Nazzari in the 23rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, Vimercate's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Damiani came free, but Alberigo Balestra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Vimercate's Ferdinando De Zorzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bianco Muzzatti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexander Nazzari to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Alexander Abbagnale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dave Strano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Alberigo Balestra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Grandis charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bernardo Grandis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bernardo Grandis hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Dave Strano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Alberigo Balestra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th match minute, Chiaravalle FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Lusi to maneuver through the defense. Dave Strano struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Alberigo Balestra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiaravalle FC. Bianco Muzzatti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinando De Zorzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dave Strano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Alberigo Balestra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuto Paro kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Chiaravalle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinando De Zorzi came free, but Bianco Muzzatti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Di Dio scored 2-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bianco Muzzatti, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinando De Zorzi in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bianco Muzzatti saved Chiaravalle FC from getting behind. For all the effort they put into the match, the Chiaravalle FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Vimercate.
