In the 26th minute Ferruccio De Simone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Giansante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Firenze's goal looked a bit too open when Alessandro Cardano came free, but Attilio Giansante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Attilio Giansante came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Zambana Nuova's Alessandro Cardano. But to his dismay, Alessandro Cardano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ettore Di Martino got free with Domenico Biagetti in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 44th minute, Ferruccio De Simone made a precise shot to the right of Attilio Giansante. Firenze's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ettore Di Martino to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Bruno Giandomenico notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Zambana Nuova's Domenico Biagetti. Domenico Biagetti was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 56th minute, Alessandro Fabiani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Ettore Di Martino put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Domenico Biagetti. A collision led to Zambana Nuova getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Alessandro Fabiani hit a great ball. Ettore Di Martino might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Domenico Biagetti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ettore Di Martino ran back to his position shaking his head. Domenico Biagetti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Di Martino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alessandro Cardano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Giansante having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Zambana Nuova's Alessandro Cardano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Attilio Giansante. That made the score 2-4 after 73 minutes of play. Domenico Biagetti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Villani in the 76th minute of the match. Attilio Giansante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio De Simone in the 79th minute. Firenze's Attilio Giansante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Cardano in the 96th minute of play. Zambana Nuova played a much better game than Firenze and deserved their victory. The Firenze players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
