Pistoiese 1921's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bianco Moschetta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Emiliano Mansueto hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. The Real Calcara fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Real Calcara's Edmondo Mazzocchi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Real Calcara's zone, Christian Lauria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Camillo Casadei came out of the goal and Christian Lauria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmondo Mazzocchi was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Labate during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes Real Calcara got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Labate. Edmondo Mazzocchi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Alfonso Giannantonio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Lauria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camillo Casadei having to interfere. When Edmondo Mazzocchi came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Real Calcara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmondo Mazzocchi couldn't finish the play. If Edmondo Mazzocchi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Real Calcara's Camillo Casadei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Lauria in the 95th minute of play. The Real Calcara players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented A.C. Pistoiese 1921 from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
