Maceratese's Alberigo Albanesi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Alberigo Albanesi charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alberigo Albanesi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 13th match minute, S.S. Maceratese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberigo Albanesi to maneuver through the defense. Francesco Cavallaro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Diego Cera showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 19 minute of play. A collision led to Castelverde AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ferruccio Cavallo hit a great ball. When Ferruccio Tocchetto came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the S.S. Maceratese fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferruccio Tocchetto couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Albanesi in the 27th minute of play forced Castelverde AFC's goalkeeper Francesco Cavallaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Castelverde AFC getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Ennio Corvi hit a great ball. Ferruccio Cavallo was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Castelverde AFC's Ferruccio Cavallo got a free kick in the 37th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Diego Cera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Francesco Cavallaro. That made the score 4-1 in the 41 minute of play. Francesco Cavallaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Albanesi in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes in the game, Alberigo Albanesi fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Francesco Cavallaro having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

After 53 played minutes Castelverde AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ennio Corvi. After a defensive mix-up in Castelverde AFC's zone, Diego Cera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francesco Cavallaro came out of the goal and Diego Cera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 55th minute, Amedeo Firmani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Castelverde AFC's Francesco Cavallaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Cera in the 56th minute of play. Ferruccio Tocchetto struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Francesco Cavallaro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for S.S. Maceratese. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Cera in the 60th minute of play forced Castelverde AFC's goalkeeper Francesco Cavallaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on S.S. Maceratese's corner Alberigo Albanesi fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francesco Cavallaro quite easily take care of the ball. In the 63rd minute S.S. Maceratese were awarded a corner. Diego Cera went to the cornerflag to take it. Ferruccio Tocchetto hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. After 66 minutes of play, S.S. Maceratese's Ferruccio Tocchetto made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francesco Cavallaro was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 69 minutes, Diego Cera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.S. Maceratese's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Cera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Castelverde AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Cera came free, but Francesco Cavallaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Cesare Zara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 74th minute Ferruccio Tocchetto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francesco Cavallaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinando Berardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferruccio Tocchetto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francesco Cavallaro having to interfere. If Cesare Zara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francesco Cavallaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Cera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 85 minutes into the match, Castelverde AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Cera came free, but Francesco Cavallaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredo Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, Alfredo Miranda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesare Zara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francesco Cavallaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Cera, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. When the match clock showed 94 minutes, the score became 6-1 when Ferruccio Tocchetto sped through Castelverde AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Francesco Cavallaro.
