The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amos Burgnich during the 3rd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Diego Coletti put in a rough tackle. In the 15th minute, one of SCARSI MA MERCENARI:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SCARSI MA MERCENARI. Ennio Formica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso Bellisario in the 21st minute of play. Concetto Di Federico came out of the goal and Domenico Grimaldi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute of the match, Alberto Romino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Concetto Di Federico was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Concetto Di Federico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Grimaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd match minute, SCARSI MA MERCENARI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Romino to maneuver through the defense. Alberto Romino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Domenico Grimaldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Concetto Di Federico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domenico Grimaldi ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domenico Grimaldi was the one to do the kick off. Domenico Grimaldi took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Concetto Di Federico. Concetto Di Federico dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Damiano Albanesi took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ennio Formica. SCARSI MA MERCENARI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave THC Team the free kick. After 72 played minutes SCARSI MA MERCENARI got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Amatori. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Damiano Albanesi managed to get in a good position for a shot. THC Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Damiano Albanesi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ennio Formica breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filippo Morini during the 73rd minute. Ennio Formica came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfonso Bellisario slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 88th minute. After a rather tough play, THC Team's Alex Scacchi got a free kick in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filippo Morini in the 94th minute of play forced THC Team's goalkeeper Concetto Di Federico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SCARSI MA MERCENARI were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
