Ernesto Franceschis short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Dario Fata to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Torriana AFC's Filippo Rotili got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Filippo Rotili managed to get in a good position for a shot. Torriana AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Filippo Rotili was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dario Fata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Torriana AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filippo Rotili was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, Ernesto Franceschi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dario Fata. Borgo Scaligero's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ernesto Franceschi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ermanno Rulli in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dario Fata saved Borgo Scaligero from getting behind. The supporters of Torriana AFC booed when Borgo Scaligero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Baratta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dario Fata didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ernesto Franceschi went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. 89 minutes into the match, Torriana AFC's Ernesto Franceschi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dario Fata narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
