In the 17th minute of the match, Eugenio Epifani tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edmondo Trombatore saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Enzo Pasqualone came free with the goalkeeper in the 19th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edmondo Trombatore could save by the left post. Eugenio Epifani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Enzo Pasqualone who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Edmondo Trombatore when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fabrizio Pozzoli charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabrizio Pozzoli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sottomarina fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eugenio Epifani made a kick off. Enzo Pasqualone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 54 minutes, Eugenio Epifani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palazzi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugenio Epifani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 55 played minutes Sottomarina got a freekick which was hit by Eugenio Domenghini. Edmondo Trombatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Pasqualone in the 57th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Palazzi's Enzo Pasqualone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edmondo Trombatore made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 62 minutes into the game, Fabrizio Spitaleri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palazzi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sottomarina the free kick. If Enrico Sisti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. After 72 played minutes, Palazzi's Beppe Domina shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edmondo Trombatore came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palazzi reached it. Enzo Pasqualone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Edmondo Trombatore tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cosimo Carnevale kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match.
