The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Mottella got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Di Massa. In the 13th match minute, Mottella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carmine De Vito to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes in the game, Bianco Napoleoni fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Attilio Lepre having to interfere. Antonello Iacovone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Attilio Lepre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bianco Napoleoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Bianco Napoleoni took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Attilio Lepre to make any attempt to save it. Mottella's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bianco Napoleoni 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antonello Iacovone got free with Attilio Lepre in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Antonello Iacovone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute Bianco Napoleoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Lepre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Bianco Napoleoni took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Attilio Lepre to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Andrea Mauro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Mancini in the 51st minute of play. Daniele Santilli took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Attilio Lepre. Mottella's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Mottella's goal looked a bit too open when Antonello Iacovone came free, but Attilio Lepre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabrizio Martorella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Andrea Mauro made a huge save. Antonello Iacovone recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonello Iacovone might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Attilio Lepre. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Antonello Iacovone ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67thth minute of the game Antonello Iacovone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mottella's Attilio Lepre was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Antonello Iacovone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Attilio Lepre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Attilio Lepre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonello Iacovone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the match, Bianco Napoleoni notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Mottella's Attilio Lepre. Attilio Lepre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bianco Mancini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Andrea Mauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute Bianco Mancini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrea Mauro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mottella's Attilio Lepre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonello Iacovone in the 86th minute of play. When Emilio Di Massa fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mottella's protests and gave Emilio Di Massa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 87th match minute, Mottella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Di Massa to maneuver through the defense. Attilio Lepre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bianco Napoleoni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
