After a defensive mix-up in A.C. Pio's zone, Damiano Rosato stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Attilio Bellone came out of the goal and Damiano Rosato tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Edmondo Furino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demetrio Borrelli scored 1-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Enrico Ottavi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cosimo Farina took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrico Ottavi. Enrico Ottavi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 35 minutes, Eugenio Martini made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. A.C. Pio's Attilio Bellone tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Tagliacozzo 1923 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 38th minute. Penalty! In the 43rd minute, Demetrio Granato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Piattelli in the 46th minute of play forced A.C. Pio's goalkeeper Attilio Bellone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Camillo De Angelis was the one to do the kick off. Dario Piacente might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Attilio Bellone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dario Piacente ran back to his position shaking his head. After 57 played minutes FC Tagliacozzo 1923 got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Bevilacqua. In the 58th minute of the match Anthony Petrocchi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Enrico Ottavi skillfully saved the ball. Enrico Ottavi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camillo De Angelis in the 78th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Demetrio Borrelli got free with Enrico Ottavi in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 80 minutes into the match, A.C. Pio's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Piattelli came free, but Attilio Bellone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A.C. Pio's Attilio Bellone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Piacente in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 84 minutes, Damiano Rosato managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Tagliacozzo 1923's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damiano Rosato was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 88th minute Demetrio Borrelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Ottavi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Piacente might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Attilio Bellone. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dario Piacente ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 95th match minute, FC Tagliacozzo 1923 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Piattelli to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Demetrio Borrelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. A.C. Pio's supporters rose to their feet, but Demetrio Borrelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrico Ottavi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
