Spectators: 6789 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 16) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfredo Cavanna started the match with the kick off. A.S. Marino Calcio's Amerigo Aversano got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesto Senatore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filippo Fiori in the 9th minute of play. After 10 minutes, Filippo Fiori made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Shemiz FC's Ernesto Senatore tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 13 minutes, Amerigo Aversano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S. Marino Calcio and the Shemiz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, A.S. Marino Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amerigo Aversano to maneuver through the defense. When Anfilogino Giuliani came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Shemiz FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anfilogino Giuliani couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Shemiz FC's zone, Domenico Di Lello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Senatore came out of the goal and Domenico Di Lello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emanuele Iachini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute, Franco Monticelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domenico Di Lello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amerigo Aversano in the 27th minute of play forced Shemiz FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Senatore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Senatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Di Lello in the 28th minute of the match. Amerigo Aversano did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Ernesto Senatore 31 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, A.S. Marino Calcio's Amerigo Aversano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. 42 minutes into the match, A.S. Marino Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Ciccio Tripodi came free, but Anselmo Chitarroni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciccio Tripodi to strike the kick off in the second half. Amerigo Aversano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shemiz FC's Ernesto Senatore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Di Lello in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Alfredo Cavanna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. A.S. Marino Calcio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredo Cavanna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Domenico Di Lello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Senatore took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenico Di Lello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Ernesto Loiacono hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amerigo Aversano kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ernesto Senatore showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amerigo Aversano in the 77th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, A.S. Marino Calcio's goalkeeper Anselmo Chitarroni had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emanuele Iachini. Domenico Di Lello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Senatore having to interfere. The supporters of A.S. Marino Calcio booed when Shemiz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano De Bonis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amerigo Aversano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the A.S. Marino Calcio players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
