Spectators: 6803 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1787, VIP seats: 16) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alfredo Cavanna took the kick off in the first half of the match. A.S. Marino Calcio's Anselmo Chitarroni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damiano Contaldi in the 5th minute of play. Anselmo Chitarroni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Contaldi in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, A.S. Marino Calcio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmondo Della Francesca to maneuver through the defense. Enzo Salomone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carter Sarnelli having to interfere. Florian Antonini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Anselmo Chitarroni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damiano Contaldi took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anselmo Chitarroni. Anselmo Chitarroni dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When Daniele Cerri came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Montacuto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniele Cerri couldn't finish the play. In the 25th minute of the match, Alfredo Cavanna tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Carter Sarnelli saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 27th minute Damiano Contaldi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Chitarroni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carter Sarnelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filippo Fiori in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute A.S. Marino Calcio were awarded a corner. Alfredo Cavanna went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alfredo Cavanna got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Carter Sarnelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Filippo Fiori charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Filippo Fiori the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Anselmo Chitarroni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damiano Contaldi in the 37th minute of play. Montacuto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Domenico Di Lello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damiano Contaldi got free with Anselmo Chitarroni in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Montacuto's goalkeeper Carter Sarnelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Florian Antoninis short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Anselmo Chitarroni to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 72 minutes into the match, A.S. Marino Calcio's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Cerri came free, but Anselmo Chitarroni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Montacuto booed when A.S. Marino Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domenico Di Lello didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Montacuto's Attilio Minotti got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After 84 played minutes, A.S. Marino Calcio's Alfredo Cavanna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carter Sarnelli came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in A.S. Marino Calcio reached it. Domenico Di Lello hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. A.S. Marino Calcio were furious when Amerigo Aversano was red carded, 90 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee gave Montacuto a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniele Cerri, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of A.S. Marino Calcio's Anselmo Chitarroni. 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damiano Contaldi in the 95th minute of play forced A.S. Marino Calcio's goalkeeper Anselmo Chitarroni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anselmo Chitarroni came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Montacuto's Florian Antonini. But to his dismay, Florian Antonini quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. The Montacuto players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
