After 13 played minutes Festajolo 85 got a freekick which was hit by Concetto Maia. Ernesto Dossena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alessandro Di Palma having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Festajolo 85 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dario Palone to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Castellazzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Emilio Cardano made a huge save. When Alfredo Pellecchia fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tamara's protests and gave Alfredo Pellecchia a yellow card for diving instead. After a defensive mix-up in Tamara's zone, Ernesto Dossena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 39 minutes into the game, Demetrio Maestri was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tamara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Festajolo 85 the free kick. Ernesto Dossena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Alessandro Di Palma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Festajolo 85's Dario Palone got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emiliano Castellazzi was the one to do the kick off. Emiliano Castellazzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 58 minutes, Arturo Di Cristofaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tamara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Di Cristofaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Festajolo 85's zone, Ciro Giusto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Cardano came out of the goal and Ciro Giusto tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 87th minute, Emiliano Castellazzi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tamara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The Tamara support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
