The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dario Tozzi during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes GP2 Red Fields got a freekick which was hit by Dario Tozzi. If Ernesto Gianfrancesco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. When Ferdinando Faieta came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Carugos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferdinando Faieta couldn't finish the play. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ferdinando Faieta sped through GP2 Red Fields's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Biagio Padula. In the 46th minute, Eraldo Cristofari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Saturno to strike the kick off in the second half. Ferdinando Faieta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Biagio Padula read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ferdinando Faieta in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Biagio Padula saved GP2 Red Fields from getting behind. If Daniele Bomba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinando Faieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
