Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fabrizio Battisti took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ciccio Caroselli made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Alberigo Giordano sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in UC Stella Rossa's zone, Alberigo Giordano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciccio Caroselli came out of the goal and Alberigo Giordano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alberigo Giordanos short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Ciccio Caroselli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 13 played minutes Rivalta got a freekick which was hit by Achille Chizzo. Franco Palmucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Addari in the 16th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Rivalta's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Reggianini came free, but Franco Palmucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rivalta's Arturo Bardella quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emiliano Mascia, made in the 22nd minute of the game. With a little luck, UC Stella Rossa's Ciccio Caroselli got control of the ball when Arturo Bardella tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciccio Caroselli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alberigo Giordano in the 29th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Bernardo Addari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UC Stella Rossa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Addari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corrado Carozza in the 31st minute of play forced Rivalta's goalkeeper Franco Palmucci to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Rivalta's goal looked a bit too open when Cosimo Reggianini came free, but Franco Palmucci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franco Palmucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabrizio Battisti in the 34th minute of the match. Alberigo Giordano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anfilogino Signori recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rivalta's Anfilogino Signori got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Anfilogino Signori had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of UC Stella Rossa booed when Rivalta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alessandro Leggeri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernardo Addari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 55 minutes, Achille Chizzo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rivalta and the UC Stella Rossa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Rivalta's Achille Chizzo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Rivalta's Franco Palmucci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Rivalta from getting a goal against them. Ciccio Caroselli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Giordano in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute, UC Stella Rossa's Fabrizio Battisti dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. After having played for 76 minutes, Alberigo Giordano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivalta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberigo Giordano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. UC Stella Rossa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. UC Stella Rossa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
