In the 8th match minute, San Ferrini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Valletta to maneuver through the defense. Frank Marcolongo took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adriano Di Lorenzo. Adriano Di Lorenzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 18 minutes into the game, Capodimonte FC's Alfonso Guidone nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adriano Di Lorenzo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Capodimonte FC's Davide Pompilio got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. San Ferrini's Adriano Di Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Borgatello in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Alfonso Villani reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Diego Tesone. The goal made the score 1-3. Adriano Di Lorenzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurelio Borgatello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eraldo Santarelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Adriano Di Lorenzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adriano Di Lorenzo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eraldo Santarelli went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Villani was the one to do the kick off. If Amedeo Eleuteri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Capodimonte FC's Aurelio Borgatello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adriano Di Lorenzo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Armin Grande was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. Davide Pompilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 63 played minutes, San Ferrini's Fortunato Manna shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Diego Tesone came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in San Ferrini reached it. Adriano Di Lorenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Santarelli in the 67th minute of play. Alfonso Villani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. San Ferrini's Adriano Di Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Pompilio in the 71st minute of play. Diego Tesone came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by San Ferrini's Alfonso Villani. But to his dismay, Alfonso Villani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. San Ferrini's Alfonso Villani got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfonso Villani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Tesone having to interfere. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Capodimonte FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
