The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, San Ferrini's goal looked a bit too open when Ferdinando Faieta came free, but Adriano Di Lorenzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armin Grande kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. After 8 played minutes Ferdinando Faieta shot from long distance. It became 0-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Ferdinando Faieta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carugos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinando Faieta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Di Lorenzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adriano Di Lorenzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Gianfrancesco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Camillo Casciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Villani, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 minutes of play, Carugos's Ferdinando Faieta made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriano Di Lorenzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the San Ferrini defense, Emanuele Di Bernardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adriano Di Lorenzo. The San Ferrini fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriano Di Lorenzo should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Bianco Della Rocca's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adriano Di Lorenzo was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Alex Graziani hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Gianfrancesco in the 26th minute of play forced San Ferrini's goalkeeper Adriano Di Lorenzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. San Ferrini's Amedeo Eleuteri got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alfonso Villani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Ferrini's Adriano Di Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Faieta in the 37th minute of play. After a rather tough play, San Ferrini's Armin Grande got a free kick in the 44th minute. Ferdinando Faieta took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adriano Di Lorenzo. Adriano Di Lorenzo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. The San Ferrini players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Carugos were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfonso Villani to make the kick off. San Ferrini's Adriano Di Lorenzo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Faieta in the 56th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Ferdinando Faieta took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Adriano Di Lorenzo to make any attempt to save it. After 66 minutes of play, Carugos's Ferdinando Faieta made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adriano Di Lorenzo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Adriano Di Lorenzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuele Di Bernardo in the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, Ferdinando Faieta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adriano Di Lorenzo. Ferdinando Faieta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-9. When Ernesto Gianfrancesco came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Carugos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernesto Gianfrancesco couldn't finish the play. Dino Valletta hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute Ferdinando Faieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Di Lorenzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Di Lorenzo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferdinando Faieta in the 96th minute.
