Ermanno Marcantonio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Achille Pantano in the 32nd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in CSKA Roma's zone, Franco Di Giambattista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 70th minute, Achille Pantano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ermanno Marcantonio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience was convinced that Fabrizio Melito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Pietropaolo was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. Ermanno Marcantonio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franco Lozzi in the 80th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Franco Di Giambattista during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to REAL B & B getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Franco Di Giambattista hit a great ball. CSKA Roma's Franco Lozzi got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of CSKA Roma booed when REAL B & B was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Melis didn't get a good kick on the ball.
