But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Mammarella couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domenico Mammarella in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carter Corvi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domenico Mammarella might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carter Corvi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domenico Mammarella ran back to his position shaking his head. Alberigo Fantini might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carter Corvi.
