An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Fausto Visintin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Cafaggio's Fulvio Maurizi got control of the ball when Alberto Falcone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfonso De Bettin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 26 played minutes Cafaggio got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Catena. Fulvio Restaino hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Fulvio Maurizi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 29th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Elia Boccanera. Fausto Visintin took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fulvio Maurizi. Fulvio Maurizi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Filippo De Tommasi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrea Iacomini, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fausto Visintin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Fausto Visintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfonso De Bettin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Filippo De Tommasi made a huge save. In the 62nd minute Andrea Iacomini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filippo De Tommasi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cafaggio's Fulvio Maurizi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Visintin in the 91st minute of play. After 95 minutes, Andrea Iacomini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cafaggio and the Bibbiano AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th minute, Andrea Iacomini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
