Eugenio Di Giovanni's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carter Corvi firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arturo Piccini charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arturo Piccini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Mystics getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Arturo Piccini hit a great ball. Eljas Meltoranta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eljas Meltoranta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carter Corvi having to interfere. Bruno Martorella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Pelliccioni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Francesco Totaro during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Francesco Totaro kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Bruno Martorella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Federico Ruggieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After having played for 23 minutes, Camillo Sciarra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mystics's supporters crossed their fingers, but Camillo Sciarra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Martorella had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Domenico Farese's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 36th match minute, Alessandria FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferruccio Boldrini to maneuver through the defense. Emanuele Vida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carter Corvi having to interfere. Carter Corvi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eugenio Di Giovanni in the 41st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eugenio Di Giovanni got free with Carter Corvi in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Eljas Meltoranta hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the match, Alessandria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eugenio Di Giovanni came free, but Carter Corvi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Eugenio Di Giovanni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carter Corvi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Alessandria FC's Carter Corvi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Vida in the 78th minute of play. Eugenio Di Giovanni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Carter Corvi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Guilherme Negri kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After 85 played minutes Alessandria FC got a freekick which was hit by Domenico Farese. Eugenio Di Giovanni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carter Corvi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Carter Corvi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eugenio Di Giovanni in the 95th minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Camillo Sciarra notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Alessandria FC's Carter Corvi. Carter Corvi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Mystics players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
