A collision led to Valtesino United getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Carlo Cugini hit a great ball. Anthony Cannavacciuolo's late challenge caught a Valtesino United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Cannavacciuolo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Valtesino United booed when Brighton F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anthony Cannavacciuolo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Flavio Giansante scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amos Masi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 22nd match minute, Valtesino United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Rosetta to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alessio Silvagni in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arturo Brandini saved Valtesino United from getting behind. Carter Scirea blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amos Masi having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Giansante in the 40th minute of play forced Brighton F.C.'s goalkeeper Amos Masi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Armin Valcareggi fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brighton F.C.'s protests and gave Armin Valcareggi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Valtesino United booed when Brighton F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armin Valcareggi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute, Valtesino United's Flavio Giansante ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amos Masi. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flavio Giansante to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flavio Giansante in the 53rd minute of play forced Brighton F.C.'s goalkeeper Amos Masi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Giansante took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amos Masi. Amos Masi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. After 59 played minutes Brighton F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Armin Valcareggi. When Flavio Giansante came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Valtesino United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Giansante couldn't finish the play. Arturo Brandini made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Alessio Silvagni sent off a good shot on target. When Flavio Giansante came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Valtesino United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavio Giansante couldn't finish the play. Amos Masi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carter Scirea in the 72nd minute of play. Flavio Giansante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Amos Masi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Giansante took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amos Masi. Amos Masi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carlo Cugini in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amos Masi saved Brighton F.C. from getting behind. 89 minutes into the match, Brighton F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Giansante came free, but Amos Masi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amos Masi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Cugini, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After some careless play in the Brighton F.C. defense, Carlo Cugini kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amos Masi. The Brighton F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amos Masi should have stopped the shot. Valtesino United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
