With a little luck, Lorella's Alvaro Della Torre got control of the ball when Alessio Silvagni tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 minutes, Amerigo Firmani made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Brighton F.C.'s Amos Masi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 42 minutes of play, Brighton F.C.'s Arturo Marinucci made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alvaro Della Torre was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cosimo Lazzaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cosimo Lazzaro was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Daniele Zisser took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Amos Masi to make any attempt to save it. Amos Masi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosimo Lazzaro in the 78th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosimo Lazzaro in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amos Masi saved Brighton F.C. from getting behind. Daniele Zisser took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amos Masi. Amos Masi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Daniele Zisser struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Amos Masi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lorella. Alvaro Della Torre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Silvagni in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Enzo Martini got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Brighton F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Lorella were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
