Ettore De Lorenzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo De Francesco, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. After 21 minutes of play, Poggibonsi's Fulvio Grimaldi made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edoardo Di Santo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 24 minutes into the match, San Michele's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo Lelli came free, but Edoardo Di Santo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ettore De Lorenzi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Scutti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, San Michele's Cesar Meder got a free kick in the 34th minute. Anfilogino Scutti scored 1-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ettore De Lorenzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fulvio Morelli hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Edmondo Piccini scored 1-3 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ettore De Lorenzi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The wind increased when Edmondo Piccini made the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fedele Flamini during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of San Michele booed when Poggibonsi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Flamini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 52 minutes, Edmondo Piccini made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Edoardo Di Santo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dario Odisio in the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Poggibonsi's goal looked a bit too open when Edmondo Piccini came free, but Ettore De Lorenzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Adriano Rubini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ettore De Lorenzi made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Frank Lorefice sent off a good shot on target. San Michele's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlo De Francesco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fulvio Morelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Ettore De Lorenzi made a huge save. 84 minutes into the game, one of Poggibonsi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 97th match minute, Poggibonsi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Ursini to maneuver through the defense. Anfilogino Scutti struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Ettore De Lorenzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Michele. The Poggibonsi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. San Michele were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
