But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Balestra couldn't finish the play. When Christian Pazienza came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Scampetto FC fans jumped to their feet. After 42 minutes of play, Sporting Flora's Ferruccio Martini made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aurelio Mazzone was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferruccio Martini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

After having played for 58 minutes, Ferruccio Martini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scampetto FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting Flora the free kick. A collision led to Scampetto FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Davide Prandini hit a great ball. The supporters of Sporting Flora booed when Scampetto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferdinando Rozzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 96th minute, Achille Valcareggi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Scampetto FC's Aurelio Mazzone didn't even have to move. Sporting Flora walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
