In the 20th minute, Fabiano Cerri sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Salk fc's Alex Miccoli didn't even have to move. Borgo Montello FC's Bianco Farina got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Borgo Montello FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amos Papetti came free, but Fabio Grimaldi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Edoardo Pezzi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borgo Montello FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Salk fc the free kick. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bianco Farina was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bianco Farina in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Miccoli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Bianco Farina came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Borgo Montello FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bianco Farina couldn't finish the play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Salk fc fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! Salk fc's Alex Miccoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bianco Farina in the 90th minute of play. Amos Papetti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Grimaldi having to interfere.
