Ferdinando Grasso hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Rosário V's Ferruccio Luciano got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Achille Piretti in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Attilio Rosi saved Capodimonte AFC from getting behind. Antonello Grieco kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Ferdinando Grasso got his second yellow card in the match during the 13th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Ferruccio Ranalli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Attilio Rosi having to interfere. When Emilio Tofani fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rosário V's protests and gave Emilio Tofani a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Rosário V fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! 26 minutes into the match, Rosário V's Achille Piretti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Attilio Rosi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Rosário V booed when Capodimonte AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonello Grieco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th match minute, Capodimonte AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabiano Di Cesare to maneuver through the defense. Capodimonte AFC's Attilio Rosi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Piretti in the 33rd minute of play. Antonello Di Lello kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Fabio Caiola hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match.

The wind increased when Achille Piretti made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Capodimonte AFC got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Grieco. Rosário V were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Capodimonte AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Achille Piretti took the corner. 56 minutes into the game, Ferruccio Ranalli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Attilio Rosi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 61 minutes into the match, Ferruccio Ranalli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Attilio Rosi. Capodimonte AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ferruccio Ranalli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Rosário V's goalkeeper Carlo Di Gennaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 74th minute Achille Piretti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Rosi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Attilio Rosi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Achille Piretti went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Attilio Rosi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achille Piretti in the 79th minute of play. Achille Piretti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Achille Piretti managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rosário V's supporters rose to their feet, but Achille Piretti was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Attilio Rosi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Capodimonte AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Ranalli came free, but Attilio Rosi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosário V's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
