Ferdinando Galeone's late challenge caught a Rosário V's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferdinando Galeone helped the player get up and apologised. Edmondo Colelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Ranalli in the 6th minute of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Achille Piretti notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Shannara's Edmondo Colelli. Edmondo Colelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinando Galeone in the 14th minute of play forced Rosário V's goalkeeper Carlo Di Gennaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmondo Colelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferruccio Ranalli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Achille Piretti put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Edmondo Colelli. Shannara's Edmondo Colelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Achille Piretti in the 26th minute of play. Carlo Di Gennaro came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Shannara's Bruno Feliziani. But to his dismay, Bruno Feliziani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Carlo Di Gennaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinando Galeone in the 31st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Feliziani got free with Carlo Di Gennaro in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bruno Feliziani's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Carlo Di Gennaro firmly grabbed it by the left post. Rosário V's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Ferdinando Galeone 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. After a rather tough play, Shannara's Emilio Spinelli got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute, Ferruccio Ranalli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 3-2 became the score in the 48th minute when Ferdinando Galeone elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

Ferruccio Ranalli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Achille Piretti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Edmondo Colelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Feliziani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlo Di Gennaro having to interfere. Rosário V's Carlo Di Gennaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferdinando Galeone in the 79th minute of play. Edmondo Colelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferruccio Ranalli in the 84th minute. Edmondo Colelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Piretti, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Carlo Di Gennaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinando Galeone in the 91st minute of the match. Edmondo Colelli was out of position in the 99 minute of play, and Achille Piretti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Achille Piretti really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3.
