Anfilogino De Nardis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 11 played minutes S.S. TUNZE TUNZE's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Rondinelli came free, but Anfilogino De Nardis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, San Barnaba's goalkeeper Armando Di Camillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfonso Cristofari. Anfilogino De Nardis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Cardano in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of S.S. TUNZE TUNZE booed when San Barnaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabiano Cardano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in S.S. TUNZE TUNZE's zone, Alfredo Piretti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anfilogino De Nardis came out of the goal and Alfredo Piretti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 32 minutes into the game, Cristiano Migliorati was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Barnaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.S. TUNZE TUNZE the free kick. After 32 played minutes San Barnaba got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Migliorati. When Edmondo Mazzini fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Barnaba's protests and gave Edmondo Mazzini a yellow card for diving instead. Edmondo Mazzini hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The supporters of S.S. TUNZE TUNZE booed when San Barnaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Rondinelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Cardano in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anfilogino De Nardis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of S.S. TUNZE TUNZE booed when San Barnaba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Rondinelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfonso Cristofari to strike the kick off in the second half. Fabiano Cardano took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anfilogino De Nardis. Anfilogino De Nardis dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. S.S. TUNZE TUNZE's Alfonso Cristofari got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, San Barnaba's Alfredo Piretti got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Alfredo Gaeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The nice shot from Fabiano Cardano in the 80thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Anfilogino De Nardis had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. After 90 played minutes S.S. TUNZE TUNZE got a freekick which was hit by Donato Ferrara. In the 94th minute Alfonso Cristofari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Di Camillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see S.S. TUNZE TUNZE lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
