An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Pedroni in the 5th minute of play forced Ac Sparta's goalkeeper Dennis Di Crescenzo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciccio Ciaccia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Dennis Di Crescenzo made a huge save. Dennis Di Crescenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fedele Di Maio in the 9th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, Fedele Di Maio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dennis Di Crescenzo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 20 played minutes Milazzo got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Marra. After 24 minutes, Fedele Di Maio made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ac Sparta's Dennis Di Crescenzo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Fedele Di Maio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Di Crescenzo was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Adriano Speranza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amerigo Mazzola in the 31st minute of play. Camillo Cameli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adriano Speranza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camillo Cameli in the 37th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Fedele Di Maio made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Fedele Di Maio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dennis Di Crescenzo was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Fedele Di Maio might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Di Crescenzo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fedele Di Maio ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the match, Ac Sparta's goal looked a bit too open when Federico Volta came free, but Dennis Di Crescenzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedele Di Maio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Milazzo's Fedele Di Maio got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Fedele Di Maio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Milazzo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fedele Di Maio in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennis Di Crescenzo saved Ac Sparta from getting behind. Amerigo Mazzola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Adriano Speranza made a huge save. After 79 played minutes Milazzo got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Marra. Ciccio Palumbo scored 5-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dennis Di Crescenzo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With 85 minutes on the clock, Enrico Borgatello commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 85 minutes into the game, one of Milazzo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Ciccio Ciaccia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Milazzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciccio Ciaccia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennis Di Crescenzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arturo Pedroni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Di Crescenzo having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Milazzo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
