An unexpectedly hard shot by Anselmo Passerini in the 18th minute of play forced Casavatore AFC's goalkeeper Attilio Orecchioni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amerigo Galante recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Cristoforo Scafati had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ferdinando Franceschelli. Varsity Blues Velletri's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristoforo Scafati was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 33rd minute, Alberigo Piccirilli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Piccirilli in the 37th minute of play forced Varsity Blues Velletri's goalkeeper Ferdinando Franceschelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eraldo La Marca during the 38th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 38 played minutes Varsity Blues Velletri got a freekick which was hit by Eraldo La Marca. After having played for 42 minutes, Amerigo Galante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Varsity Blues Velletri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amerigo Galante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Casavatore AFC's Ettore Andreoli got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Amerigo Galante blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Attilio Orecchioni having to make a save. After 47 played minutes Casavatore AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo Scafati. Varsity Blues Velletri's Amerigo Galante got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, Casavatore AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Passerini came free, but Attilio Orecchioni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Varsity Blues Velletri's Eraldo La Marca got his second yellow card of the match in the 63rd minute. The referee ordered Eraldo La Marca off the ground. Anselmo Cattaneo struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Ferdinando Franceschelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Cristoforo Scafati hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Casavatore AFC's zone, Amerigo Galante stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Attilio Orecchioni came out of the goal and Amerigo Galante tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 89 played minutes Casavatore AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cristoforo Scafati. Amerigo Galante struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Attilio Orecchioni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varsity Blues Velletri. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Casavatore AFC had won after a very even match.
