Corrado Proia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Della Torre, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. If Achille Contaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Chiappa AFC's Flavio Della Torre in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Puciu F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. When Demetrio Catena fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Puciu F.C.'s protests and gave Demetrio Catena a yellow card for diving instead. Demetrio Catena hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Puciu F.C.'s Demetrio Catena got a free kick in the 21st minute. Amedeo Gigli kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Demetrio Catena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino Imperiale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Del Greco having to interfere. If Cristiano Delle Donne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flavio Della Torre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elia Costantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute, Achille Contaldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Corrado Proia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flavio Della Torre's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. 43 minutes into the match, Puciu F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Della Torre came free, but Corrado Proia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Della Torre struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Corrado Proia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chiappa AFC. If Achille Contaldi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Chiappa AFC booed when Puciu F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carter Costacurta didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dino Imperiale was the one to do the kick off. Demetrio Catena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Comunardo Del Greco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Achille Contaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 played minutes, Puciu F.C.'s Emanuele Ferraresi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Comunardo Del Greco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Puciu F.C. reached it. If Flavio Della Torre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Achille Contaldi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Corrado Proia was out of position in the 65 minute of play, and Flavio Della Torre capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Flavio Della Torre really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. After 69 played minutes Chiappa AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aurelio Di Girolamo. The crowd rose to their feet as Achille Contaldi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Corrado Proia. That made the score 0-2 in the 72 minute of play. Flavio Della Torre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Demetrio Catena got his second yellow card in the match during the 78th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Puciu F.C.'s Demetrio Catena got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute, Achille Contaldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavio Della Torre recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the last second Corrado Proia throw himself and got hold of the ball when Flavio Della Torre in the 87thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Elia Costantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 90th minute, Dino Imperiale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Achille Contaldi might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Corrado Proia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Achille Contaldi ran back to his position shaking his head. When Achille Contaldi came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Chiappa AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Achille Contaldi couldn't finish the play. Chiappa AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
