Comunardo Del Greco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermanno Cavallucci in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Ferdinando Lemme threw the ball into play from the sideline. Chiappa AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Borbiago the free kick. Ermanno Cavallucci received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Comunardo Del Greco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Pedro Caeiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Comunardo Del Greco was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ermanno Cavallucci to strike the kick off in the second half. Borbiago's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
