Thanks to some nice moves Emanuele Di Giandomenico could shoot a difficult shot in the 10th minute, which Frank Marongiu however easily saved by the left post. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Novate Mislanese:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Quarto:s goal. In the 12th minute there was a penalty for Quarto. Fabrizio De Simone stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arturo Talamo. 0-1. Quarto's Frank Marongiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Sessa in the 16th minute of play. In the 17th minute Filippo Sessa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Marongiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Novate Mislanese's Arturo Talamo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Di Berardino in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of Novate Mislanese booed when Quarto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amerigo Granata didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Quarto's Fulvio Curti got a free kick in the 25th minute. Quarto's Frank Marongiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filippo Sessa in the 35th minute of play. Adriano Travaglini blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arturo Talamo having to make a save. Emiliano Di Gennaro charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emiliano Di Gennaro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 46 played minutes Quarto got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Di Gennaro. In the 48th minute, Alessandro Di Berardino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adriano Travaglini made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Di Giandomenico in the 53rd minute of play forced Quarto's goalkeeper Frank Marongiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 54th match minute, Novate Mislanese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ettore Castellini to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Novate Mislanese's zone, Alessandro Di Berardino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Talamo came out of the goal and Alessandro Di Berardino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuele Di Giandomenico in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Marongiu saved Quarto from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Travaglini in the 67th minute of play forced Novate Mislanese's goalkeeper Arturo Talamo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ettore Castellini was shown his second yellow card after 68 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Ettore Castellini kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Alessandro Di Berardino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, Alessandro Di Berardino cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Arturo Talamo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Quarto getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Armin Macchia hit a great ball. Aldo Musacchio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabrizio De Simone got free with Arturo Talamo in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alessandro Di Berardino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adriano Travaglini in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arturo Talamo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Adriano Travaglini came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Quarto fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Travaglini couldn't finish the play. Quarto's Frank Marongiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Di Giandomenico in the 86th minute of play. Ferruccio Palmisano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alessandro Di Berardino succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 95th playminute. The Novate Mislanese fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Quarto were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
