Spectators: 7879 (Terracing: 5915, Seating: 1814, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andrea Testa started the match with the kick off. Şehzade Akburç who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 5thth minute tested the skills of Enrico Nicolini when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Harry Peter kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberigo De Santis during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Starcom Roma's Alberigo De Santis got a free kick in the 13th minute. Enrico Nicolini was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Cosimo Polidori capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cosimo Polidori really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Florian De Paolis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Christian Campoli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrico Nicolini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosimo Polidori in the 21st minute of the match. A hard shot 23 in the game by Şehzade Akburç from a close distance when the talented Enrico Nicolini managed to make a qualified save. Starcom Roma's players were relieved. Cosimo Polidori might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Enrico Nicolini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cosimo Polidori ran back to his position shaking his head. Fortaleza's Christian Campoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian De Paolis in the 33rd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Fortaleza's Enrico Nicolini threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cosimo Polidori, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Starcom Roma's goalkeeper Enrico Nicolini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Starcom Roma's Enrico Nicolini got control of the ball when Şehzade Akburç tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Şehzade Akburç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Şehzade Akburç made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Starcom Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Şehzade Akburç came free, but Enrico Nicolini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute of the match Fortaleza got a corner. Starcom Roma's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dario Mazza ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Fortaleza's Dario Mazza to fire away a dangerous shot which Enrico Nicolini despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cosimo Polidori struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Enrico Nicolini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortaleza. The supporters of Fortaleza booed when Starcom Roma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberigo De Santis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrico Nicolini took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şehzade Akburç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 minutes, Şehzade Akburç made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Starcom Roma's Enrico Nicolini tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 73 minutes of play, Fortaleza's Şehzade Akburç made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Enrico Nicolini was left in no man's land by his defense there! Cosimo Polidori took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrico Nicolini. Enrico Nicolini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. Enrico Nicolini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Şehzade Akburç's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. 84 minutes into the game, Florian De Paolis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Christian Campoli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fortaleza's Cosimo Polidori got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cosimo Polidori sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Don Cabeza took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Enrico Nicolini. Enrico Nicolini dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Fortaleza fully deserved thier win.
