The audience thought a goal was coming when Emiliano Fioravanti got free with Cristiano Zaino in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee ignored PESCARA F.C.'s protests and gave Cesare Petrucci a yellow card for diving instead. Cesare Petrucci hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Fortunato Coscarella showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermanno Bomba in the 38th minute of the match.
