Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Aurelio Campana kicked off to start the match. 9 minutes into the match, Antonio Toppi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Atletico Milazzo's Bruno Luciani. Bruno Luciani was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberto Cherubini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Fortunato Fantozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute, Bruno Panico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Emanuele Puddu came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Madama Bianconera fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuele Puddu couldn't finish the play. Bruno Luciani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Toppi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arturo Rainaldi struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Bruno Luciani didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Madama Bianconera. The audience was convinced that Antonio Toppi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Luciani was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. In the 43rd minute, Bruno Panico ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bruno Luciani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Alberto Cherubini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonio Toppi to make the kick off. In the 52nd play minute Bruno Panico came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bruno Luciani. 1-4. In the 55thth minute of the game Antonio Toppi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Milazzo's Bruno Luciani was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bruno Luciani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuele Puddu in the 56th minute of play. If Alberto Cherubini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 60 minutes, Aurelio Campana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atletico Milazzo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Campana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 62nd minute Emanuele Puddu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Luciani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute Madama Bianconera were awarded a corner. Antonio Toppi went to the cornerflag to take it. Bruno Luciani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Toppi in the 68th minute of play. Bruno Panico struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Aurelio Campana charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aurelio Campana the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Atletico Milazzo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Campana to maneuver through the defense. In the 74th minute Alberto Cherubini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmondo Romagnoli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruno Luciani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Toppi in the 77th minute of the match. Bruno Panico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Aurelio Campana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico Milazzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelio Campana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmondo Romagnoli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aurelio Campana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edmondo Romagnoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Cherubini in the 93rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Campana in the 94th minute of play forced Madama Bianconera's goalkeeper Edmondo Romagnoli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Madama Bianconera supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Madama Bianconera would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
