An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessio Cinque in the 18th minute of play forced SS Milazzo's goalkeeper Bernardo Ansoldi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the SS Milazzo defense, Diego Lusi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernardo Ansoldi. The SS Milazzo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernardo Ansoldi should have stopped the shot. Comunardo Cerasoli charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Comunardo Cerasoli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Comunardo Cerasoli kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. 邵阳海 could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Fortunato Coscarella made a huge save. If Donato Ottavi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anthony Mirto during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anthony Mirto hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in PESCARA F.C.'s zone, Donato Ottavi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fortunato Coscarella came out of the goal and Donato Ottavi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 43rd minute, Alessio Cinque got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dave Ascenzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emiliano Fioravanti to make the kick off. Bernardo Ansoldi was a little too slow when Emiliano Fioravanti got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 58th match minute, PESCARA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Cerasoli to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 61 minutes, Emiliano Fioravanti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PESCARA F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Emiliano Fioravanti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donato Ottavi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fortunato Coscarella read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Emiliano Fioravanti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Ansoldi. That made the score 0-3 in the 77 minute of play. The supporters of SS Milazzo booed when PESCARA F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diego Lusi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diego Lusi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 95th minute, Emiliano Fioravanti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PESCARA F.C. were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over SS Milazzo's much stronger midfield.
