Diego Lusi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Armando De Lellis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 11 played minutes PESCARA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Di Ruscio. Armando De Lellis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Fioravanti, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th minute Anfilogino Pace shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Coscarella saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Porporana's zone, Diego Lusi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando De Lellis came out of the goal and Diego Lusi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fortunato Coscarella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Dossena, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Anthony Mirto managed to get in a good position for a shot. PESCARA F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Mirto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Armando De Lellis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Comunardo Mazzola got free with Fortunato Coscarella in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anfilogino Salemme lost his temper 37 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in PESCARA F.C. fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 37th minute. Penalty! PESCARA F.C.:s Fortunato Coscarella showed great skill when he stopped Fabrizio Limitone:s penalty. 1-0 came in the 40th minute when Fabrizio Limitone all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Fortunato Coscarella. Camillo Falone's late challenge caught a Porporana's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Camillo Falone helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to PESCARA F.C. getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Camillo Falone hit a great ball. After 45 played minutes PESCARA F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Comunardo Cerasoli. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anfilogino Pace in the 46th minute of play forced PESCARA F.C.'s goalkeeper Fortunato Coscarella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anfilogino Pace was the one to do the kick off. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fortunato Coscarella showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fortunato Coscarella showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Del Vecchio, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. PESCARA F.C.'s Fortunato Coscarella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Dossena in the 92nd minute of play. Fortunato Coscarella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anfilogino Pace in the 96th minute of play. Porporana walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
